This is my fourteenth year teaching at St. Paul Middle/High School. I teach Spanish 1-5, Spanish for Native Speakers, English Language Development, Yearbook, and Choir. I also serve as a translator and an interpreter and am the English Learner Coordinator for the district.
I grew up in Corvallis, Oregon and then attended the Robert D. Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish with minors in Music, Latin American Studies, and Second Language Acquisition & Teaching, as well as a Master of Education degree with teaching endorsements in Spanish, English as a Second Language/Bilingual, Foundational Mathematics, and Foundational Language Arts. While in college, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Querétaro, Mexico, and I traveled to Spain and Italy in the summer of 2011. In my spare time, I enjoy singing, cooking, reading, writing, drawing, gardening, playing board games and video games, watching movies and television, and spending time with friends, family, and my cats, Copper, Clover, and Delilah. |
